Step One: Cleaning Solution
Don’t waste your money on expensive cleaning products when you can use the items that are probably sitting in your cupboard.
What you need:
- Dish Detergent
- Large Bucket
- Warm Water
If your mirrors and windows need extra help, you can add:
- White Vinegar
Pour warm water into a large bucket, mixing one or two teaspoons of dish detergent into a solution. For better results, add four tablespoons of lemon. If your mirrors and windows are suffocating with excessive grime, add either white vinegar or ammonia to your solution.
Step Two: Cleaning Tools
Having the right cleaning tools is essential to having crystal-clear mirrors and windows. Here are some great tools you can use:
- Microfiber Cloth
Using the wrong tools can result in increased smudging and extra work! Use these tools for sparkling clean mirrors and windows to brighten up your home.
Step Three: Cleaning Method
As important as the tools are to cleaning your mirrors and windows, the end results will be better with the right technique!
- Dampen your cloth with your cleaning solution
- Start from the top left corner and rub clean each bit of dirt one by one
- After the stuck on bits of dirt have been wiped away, clean the entire mirror/window using a zig-zag stroke
- Using a microfibre cloth to clean your mirrors and windows usually dries it whilst cleaning, if you want to give it an extra dry, use a newspaper as this also helps to polish it
