Things You’re Cleaning Too Often
Most people don’t like cleaning, and they don’t realise that they’re cleaning some things way too often.
You could leave it to the professionals and give St Anne’s Cleaning a call on: 0203 397 7495 and in the meantime, save some time by following our simple cleaning tips:
1. Don’t wash your clothes too often
If you’ve only worn your outfit once and it’s not ‘dirty’, ask yourself ‘do I need to wash this?’ Washing your clothes too often can cause them to fade (among other things). It will also save you a lot of laundry detergent, water and energy.
2. Don’t clean your pantry on a weekly basis
Most of what is stored in your pantry is dry and will be good for a long time, so why would there still be the need to pull everything out every week? Cleaning your pantry out and checking up on expiration dates on a seasonal basis is enough to ensure that everything is clean and within date.
3. Don’t pre-wash your dishes before putting them into the dishwasher
Even though a lot of people think it’ helps, pre-washing bowls, plates or other dishes is a major waste of your time. Many modern dishwashers have a sensor in them which takes note of how much mess there is left in the machine and how to respond in an effective way.
4. Don’t clean your carpets too often
Vacuuming your carpets is something you need to do on a regular basis and is also something that won’t leave a lot of damage to your carpets. But you need to be careful when you are planning on cleaning your carpets with professional products; these products can cause a lot of wear and tear to the fibres in the carpeting.
5. Don’t clean your mirrors so often
Spraying your mirror with glass cleaner, for example, can destroy the back of your mirror. Which we believe is far worse than a few smudges on your mirror!
